The max amount Pell you can get for the 10-11 academic year (fall and spring) is 5550. If you are enrolled in 24 credit hours (im assuming you mean 12 in the fall and another 12 in the spring) and your cost is 250 a credit hour then that is 250 X 24 hrs = 6,000 not including fees or books or anything. So, 6000-5550 pell means you would owe the school 450 dollars. and also have to pay for your books and fees if they are not included. Since your cost is quoted on semesters, you would only have to come up with half of that 450 for the fall semester and the other half for spring.
If you wanted to take out loans, you could. But the amount would depend on your dependency status and grade level.
Read this book, it wil help. and give you the loan max amounts for you.
