A good free dvd burning software that can make/burn dvd from any formats videos, no, I don't think there is a good freeone, I tired many free softwares before, but none of them work well, someone poor quality, someone unstable, someone even virus, so now I'am using an inexpensive software RZ DVD Creator, works well, it can convert any formats videos to vidoe dvd and burn to any dvd disc( DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), it supports all popular video formats, such as avi, mp4, wmv, flv, mkv, mov, ogg, rmvb/rm, etc, and the burned video dvd can be played well on your dvd player, provides more functions and better quality than freeware. You can google or yahoo search and download RZ DVD Creator, easy to use, hope it can help you.

I recommend you try TOP Video to DVD Converter I used, it can burn any video to DVD easily and fast, because it can help you convert your one or multiple video files to DVD format and burn them to one DVD movie. Plus, I can also carry them with you and watch them anytime anywhere only with a computer or a DVD player. Plus, it supports the input formats of ASF, AVI, RM, WMV, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, MKV, FLV, RMVB, etc. So I can get my favorite video in DVD conveniently.

Hope it is helpful for you, good luck.

There is an Open Source Windows program that is based on Linux software called CDRecord called cdrtfe (cdrecord front end).

it includes cdrecord for windows. in the future it will support multisession DVD's, but currently it does EVERYTHING else.

it is my favorite cd burning program. even works on windows 9x.

it also includes mkisofs.exe, so if you want to make ISOs, you can.

one feature it does not do well on my ASUS DVD burner is convert data cd's to ISOs.

I am going to see about that and try to submit a bug report since I am on sourceforge.net.

as for video DVD's, there is a tab for that, you just feed it the directory that contains your files.
