Looking for a new craft hobby?
I'm looking for a new craft to get involved in an evening or two a week. I tend to like crafts that involve "sparkly" things...like making ornaments, bracelets, beaded pens, metallic cross-stitch, etc. Just looking for new and different ideas in that vein...ideally something I can make as unique gifts.
Also, not kid-oriented or silly stuff. Looking for something elegant and tasteful (subjective, I know!).

make bracelets out of string. it's not very expensive. it's fun to learn and a great way to spend idle time.
there's stuff on youtube about making these bracelets if this friendship-bracelets.net website isn't very useful in learning how to make them. just search friendship bracelets.

Scrap-booking has endless possibilities. You could also make your own cards.
