Do I need to uninstall MS Office and my Adobe Suite before installing Windows 7?

I'm about to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have a lot of programs on my computer and I am wondering if I will need to uninstall them, install Windows 7 and then reinstall them, or just install Windows 7 and have my programs waiting on my when I turn my computer back on without doing anything to them.

Do any of you know how installing W7 is supposed to work?

64bit is a bad choice unless you are going to

run some huge programs that require a vast ammount of RAM.

(you do not say what you intend to upgrade From).

You can only upgrade to windows 7 ultimate if you already have vista ultimate installed and obviously it must be 64bit vista if you intend to use W7 64bit.

otherwise it will have to be a clean install

and that means you lose everything on your computer.

Without getting too technical: All your programs will be removed and you will need to reinstall them.

    Unless:

Your Windows 7 is an Upgrade disc. (doubt it)

    or

You have a free partition to install Windows 7 on (also doubtful)

When you put the disc in your drive and restart your computer it will like ask you to select a free partition. If no partition is available you will need to install it on the partition that your current version of windows is on, hence losing your existing programs.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for windows 7 because it does use a lot of resources.

    Hello,

First of all, I recommend running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to make sure your computer is ready to run Windows 7.

If you are upgrading from Vista with an upgrade disc, you will have the choice to do an upgrade meaning your files, programs, and settings will remain in tact. However, if you are upgrading from XP or anything else, you will have to do a custom installation meaning that your computer will be wiped in the process. If this is the case you will need to back up all files and reinstall programs after the move to Windows 7.

Here are some guides to help you through the process:

    Upgradiing from XP - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/u...

this question has been spoke decrease back yet i am going to provide my 2 cents. you may keep both on your computer, they do no longer conflict. At my artwork we've both and there is rarely any difficulty, we only keep them via fact some individuals are extra nicely-off with 2003 than 2007. once you have an interest in extremely interpreting the thanks to keep on with 2007 nonetheless and do not choose the 2003 crutch than uninstall it! because you had 2003 i am going to assume you've XP and that i have were given heard human beings say 2007 can be a processor hog on XP platforms so eliminating unnecessary classes is the thanks to stay away from.
