Why is it so wrong for someone to like another person of the same sex?

I think it's because most pricks are too used to seeing a man and a woman so IN LOVE with each other. They consider this 'normal' and nowadays people 'not normal' are regarded rather harshly.

Personally I say love who you want, as long as you're happy. I refrain from using 'gay' as an insult. Unfortunately my age group abuses the term to verbally abuse others :|

Unfortunately some people like to use the prattlings of Bronze-age sheepherders to justify their chosen personal bigotries, much as they did years ago when they proclaimed it was wrong for white folk to mix with non-whites. Funny how they don't care about violating the tenets of that book which forbid eating shellfish, mixing different fibers in one garment, divorce, gold and pearl jewelry, etc.

Much of our negative, addictive behavior, and our chronic feelings of guilt and shame are rooted in Biblical and religious shame: there is simply no legitimate reason for this. It's not wrong. You're being fed a myth and I hope you do your best to stop it in its tracks when you talk about these issues with your friends. It takes a whole community to change the habits of hatred.
