Israel killing civilians on Flotilla, Isn't this terrorism?
If this is not terrorism, then what is? Furthermore. anyone supporting this behavior are basically supporting terrorists. Shouldn't US distance them self from such behavior, boy-cut Israel and cut ties? If not then what does US stand for? Do they stand for this sort of behavior? If US civilians were involved and killed, what would US call this?

I find it both sad and tragic that there are actually people out there, let alone Americans, that can sympathize with Israel in this case. On the other hand, most Americans sympathize with Israel no matter what and they have absolutely no idea what is going on there since early 1880. Regardless, I have this comment to make.
In 1948 The Soviet Union imposed a blockade on Berlin in an attempt to 'persuade' Germans there to come to the Soviet point of view on things. In one of the great episodes of American values and courage, we flew out for months on end flights delivering all types of necessities to the innocent civilians of Berlin. The blockade failed and Berliners were forever grateful to us.
Fast forward to post 1967 and we Americans have sat back and watched millions of civilians be fodder for an Israeli agenda of establishing Jewish majorities and the reactionary Hamas militant types that agenda has created. In 1948 we did not call the situation untenable, we did something about it. Now we sit on our hands while Israel dicates our entire Middle East policy. Embarrassing to say the least.
The attempt by any nation to force civilians in an occupied or foreign zone to act out in political or military fashion against its own representatives is a violation of international law and a crime against civilians, a form of collective punishment set about ironically at the Nuremberg trials! Israel has waged a low and high level form of collective punishment and demographics altering since the first zionist plan for modern Israel was put into action. It is a form of colonialism and has no place in todays modern world. After all, why do Americans and Europeans need to drop their borders and sovereignty for this new global marketplace and global world but Israel can act the exact opposite and promote extreme nationalism through establishing Jewish majorities on land and then using a welfare system to tie the people to it!?
It isn't even hypocrisy anymore. It is plain and simply a blight on every value we consider to be American. Obama, of all people, should call Netanyahu and tell him to lift the seige and show Arabs in Gaza the same rights of dignity as he wants for Israelis next door. Or he can kiss American aid and loans goodbye. The way Gazans have been treated I am surprised the million of them are not ready to die fighting Israel! The fact that only a minority of folks there are actually militants is mind boggling given the circumstances they have lived in for a generation now.
We are not doing anyone a service, including Israel, by granting it immunity to continue a policy of exclusion and dominance over inclusivity and equality.

Lets see.
A "NEWS" video showed some of these "civilians" attacking the Israeli soldiers with various bars, clubs, etc.; BEFORE shots were fired.
Tell me, WHY was a news crew filming BEFORE the Israelis started their "assault"?
What were they filming? LOOKS like a bit of a set-up there.
IF I have been attacked by a known group (Hamas), and some of their supporters (IHH) are known to be at least partly responsible FOR the flotilla and it's cargo, I think I would want to inspect it before letting it in.
The Israelis offered to allow docking at a port, AND free transport of cargo to Gaza AFTER inspection for contraband items, and the flotilla refused. What were THEY hiding?
THEY wanted a confrontation.
You attack ME with a club when I'm armed, you're DEAD! Maybe, even if I am unarmed, you're dead.
Do I therefore qualify as a terrorist? I don't think so.
I DO think the way the Israeli's went about it was VERY SLOPPY operation, and I know grade school kids that probably could have done better.

One might wonder why 5 of the 6 ships were quietly escorted to port and checked for contraband without incident. Little is said about what happened to their cargoes, but likely most of it was transferred into Hamas' Gaza slave camp.
One ship ... the headlines ... chose to fight. Reuters neatly ["mistakenly", they say ...] cropped the weapons in the hands of the attacking terrorists in their much published photos.
Once again, Reuters has joined the ranks of the supermarket tabloids in its effort to sell papers in the Mideast ...
Best I can tell, if you attack police or military anywhere, you will suffer some consequences.
Let the Gaza slaves push against the Hamas guards with their machine guns and see what happens. (OH! NO! You will never see what happens ... They hide those things so well.)
The real terrorism is the tight rein which the Hamas gang keeps on their slaves. They let only a few trickle out of their slave camp into Egypt... and only after they pay up, I'll bet.
Hamas shuts down the exodus after 4 bus loads, when Egypt will take 7 ....
Who is really "sealing the borders"? Sounds more like the Berlin Wall.
.
Hamas at work .....
" Hani Ihlayyel has been stuck in Gaza since returning for a summer visit in 2006 after earning a degree in computer engineering from a college in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
His plan was to return to Malaysia for graduate school, but instead the blockade forced him to remain in Gaza, where he said he wasted four years with odd jobs. Ihlayyel hopes to cross into Egypt today."

This recent incident is just another example of Israels complete disregard for International law' They were able to murder 1400 civilians including 340 babies and young children despite Richard Goldstone's damning report to the UN thanks to American support who also supplied all the high explosive and phosphorus bombs to Israel so 9 Turkish nationals are just another example. As usual little or nothing will ever be done to punish Israel and yet America cant wait to impose sanctions against Iran who have not murdered a single sole.

The flotilla was attempting to run a military blockade; that put it in the position of war with Israel.
Nevertheless, the Israelis approached the flotilla with an offer to inspect the cargo and, if it was not contraband, allow them to deliver it.
The people on one ship, after agreeing not to attack the Israelis when they boarded the ship, then began attacking with deadly weapons. What do you expect when you attack soldiers while in the act of running a blockade?

Of course it is,state sponsored terrorism. The flotilla was retreating back in to territorial waters when attacked so they had no legal right to attack much less massacre the innocent humanitarians on board.
The U.S. aswers to Israel.
Hook above seems to be writing some fictional account of events. One of the boats was inspected by Irish customs and the cargo sealed. There were representatives from over 50 nations involved.Drs,Politicians,Nobel Peace Laureates,Holocaust survivors,Authors etc etc.
Does he seriously think had the boats been manned by the type of person he says were on them that no Israelis would have died?I rest my case. This was a peacful misson to help the suffering Palestinians.
The U.N. have had to turn away 39,000 children wanting to start school because Israel will not allow cement in to rebuild schools.Paper is on the banned list!60,000 people are still homeless after the last masscre in Gaza.Israel wants conflict, without it the American money might dry up.
Well said casimir.

Of COURSE it's terrorism, Hon---unless you happen to be either a Zionist Israeli or a brainwashed American.
As an American, I find it disgusting almost to the point of humor how we bow and scrape to what one French diplomat referred to as "that sh!tty little country." Almost humorous, not quite---because the ramifications are so enormous.
The U.S. has lost all respect among other nations for continuing to defend the actions of that sh!tty little...well, you know. This is gonna come back and bite us in the @ss BIG-time...oh wait, it already did! It was called "9-11"!
Someday, somewhere, someONE will actually hold Israel accountable.

Yes, Israel is their own worst enemy. We all know how brutal they are and have been to the Palestinian people. Israel has been ruthless, manipulative, and they whip out the "victim card" to justify all their mistakes. The only reason they have any power is because the American media and government are their puppets. And those zionists are good at getting what they want no matter what it takes.

Isn't it clear that ISRAEL was a bad idea? To plant it in the middle of the Arab countries like a dagger?
I have 3 friends who left Israel. They told me nobody wants peace. If there is peace, the US will stop sending war dollars.

The facts are: They did not honor the blockade, the ships were to dock and be inspected before going on to Gaza, they radioed the Israeles and said go back to Auschwitz and proceeded to try to not stop. The ship was manned by THH people 50 were Hammas men armed with knives , pipes etc. They threw Flash Grenades at the Israeli solders . then attacked them. The ships are part of a group who are as you may know Terrorists themselves and sanctioned by The Radicals here in the U.S. under the Obama Administration, Think of George Sorros, Van Jones, and others. There is more to this story then what has been so badly and ineptly reported by the media.. The middle east, Iran for one , is trying to provoke a War.
