Quite often, doctors and other health professionals will advise taking three packs in a row and skipping the sugar pills. This can be done for convenience of not having a period for an extra 6 weeks.

But generally, you run the risk of having extra side effects (bloating, anxiety, sore boobs, etc. etc.)

So overall, yes it should be OK unless you have specifically been advised it is unsafe.

Yep, perfectly fine. The information in my birth control (levlen ed) says it can be done safely for up to three months, which means you can only have 4 periods a year if you choose. I tend to get breakthrough bleeding if I do it for more than 2 months at a time though.

Yes. This is perfectly safe to do every now and then. Not all the time as you often will experience some break-through bleeding if done for months in a row, but on the odd occasion it's perfectly acceptable and safe ;)
