Was the fox in the attack captured and/or killed? Or did it get away?

I have heard little about the case in the US, it made the news one day, but very little was said.

I have read about it on here and a few articles. But I have never heard or read the definitive answer to whether the fox was captured? If so were they checking it for signs of rabies? From what I have read about how infrequent this kind of thing is, that would have to be looked into, at least if it happened in the US. I'm sure rabies is still around in some animals in Europe, too.

Rabies is extremely rare in the UK, our quarantine laws are very strict and remember we are an island, so we have no wildlife crossing borders.

Some foxes were captured in the days after the attack, whether they were the ones that attacked nobody knows.

IT WAS A FOX THAT ATTACKED A MAN AND ALSO ATTACKED A FEW MEN..........

THEY CAUGHT THE FOX AND KILLED IT........AND IT HAD RABIES......

THE MEN WHO HAD BITES ON THEIR LEGS HAD TO HAVE RABIE SHOTS.......
