Planning on going to a go-go?

Not anymore you aren't. Poor Jane Wiedlin (the rhythm guitarist) hurt herself rock climbing, consequently The Go-Go's farewell tour has been canceled.

So, how about a song that appropriately conveys the massive sense of disappointment you are feeling right now?

Update:

Well played Trixie, well played.

Update 2:

I remember Rock N Roll Jeopardy. Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray was real good at it too.

bigger shoulder pads could have cushioned that fall.

I wouldn't have gone anyway. I got to see them on their first tour, which was massively fun in a college gym. They were bouncy, they were happy, they were presumably wasted, they were so cute I had crushes on half of them 30 years ago, it was double-cute watching the guitarist struggling to play her little solos, not that they weren't all struggling to play their instruments. It made me think, oh, I could do that if I practiced a little more! And it was triply funny that they had to play the same songs 3 times because they didn't know enough songs to fill in an hour or two otherwise.

Now Belinda is thin and sober and doing boring TV interviews. We're all older and less bouncy, and it would just have been an oldies show for me. So, I'll take a happy song from the Go-Go's - "Can't Stop the World". It's practically relevant, can't stop the world, why let it stop you? Can't see the Go-Go's? Life goes on. But with some happy memories from the 80s.

You know, there is so much good fun music in the world that we're supposed to feel badly about liking because it isn't dark enough or serious enough or rough enough. The Go-Go's were a guilty pleasure I'm not the least bit guilty about, because they were pure joy in concert.

Either long or short term plan. It is a matter of personal choice you have to decide. It will depend really on the plan you would like to achieve in life. Plannning is a continuous process as long as we live. It is a matter of planning out what life you are going to face. Things in life could be done through a short term depending on the course you are into. Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Bummer. I was disappointed that they weren't hitting Atlanta, now they're not touring at all.

I got to see them in 1994 with this lineup.

    Hole

    The Black Crowes

    Tom Jones

    Simple Minds

    Live

    The Go-Go's

    Dinosaur Jr.

We thought they'd be a joke. Those girls ROCKED the joint.

aw, jane is my favorite. remember when she tore it up on the short lived rock and roll jeopardy on vh1's celebrity game?

i've completely lost the original point, but...i miss rock and roll jeopardy....but i guess more people want to watch bret michaels try to pick which hooker he wants to date for 2 weeks than watch some music trivia...
