Have you ever been in a situation like this?

I live in New York City but I hate my job. I'm on a work visa (H-1B) and cannot change jobs. Besides, the greencard would take about 7 or 8 years more. I think I'll have to go back to my country, even though I love the city and the US.

Have you ever been in a situation like this? How did you deal with it? What decision did you make? Do you have any regrets?

    I got my green card after 7 years of hell and it was worth the wait. I went on to college and got a lucrative job and I don't regret it.
