Can someone please help me?
I had an interview with the company Halliburton and the job interview went quite well. I ask a question of so when can I start? They said well they would let me know by Friday if I have the job or not. Well, i have been pacing the floor all day, and they have not called me. I was wondering does that mean I don't have the job or maybe they are doing some background checking. I heard that takes a little longer before they make their decision. Please give me an brief and detailed answer.....

if they promised to let you know on friday, they should have.. and if they are doing background checking and it takes longer before they reach a decision, they should let you know about that. It would not be nice if they would just let you hang in the air if you did not get the job. To be on the safe side, I would give them a call on monday, if they did not contact you at all. I know, it will be a nervous weekend, but there is hardly anything else you can do.
