How do you stack cinder blocks and sandstone to build a fireplace?

The guy who was going to build my fireplace skipped out on me. We bought the materials and I work at Lowe's so I have access to the tools I'll need. I work in Flooring and have laid tons of tile, but have never attempted any masonry work. I have fire code cinder blocks to build the firebox and skeleton. Then I want to attach chunks of sandstone to the entire outside I have vent lesss gas logs so I don't need to build a chimney or flu. Some links to videos would be helpful
