I think a little more information might be needed to give you the best recommendation. What grade are you in? Were there any other guidelines given for what you can choose? What type of assignment will you have to complete? What types of books do you enjoy reading (other than the obvious Twilight)?

Jane Austen is the pretty standard answer to this one, or perhaps, Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Will definitely be approved by a teacher and is relatively enjoyable option.
