Can a laptop computer be used with a dead battery?

I got a warning that the battery on my laptop computer is at the end of it`s life. If I keep the computer plugged into the charger that is plugged into an electrical outlet will my computer still work. Thanks

    yes, but it will better off if you remove the battery, a faulty battery can damage the charging circuit

    Most of them can be used without a battery. You should first check at the laptop manufacturer's website if you have one of those recalled batteries, if so, you might get a brand new one!
