Would you hire Charles Barkley as "GM".???.?

I remember him saying that about a year ago. He mentioned it on "Inside the NBA" but never really elaborated on it much. I don't think he's going to find a perfect situation out there, oreven one better than the one he's got.

BQ: Probably not, he has a lot of basketball knowledge but he would have to work his way up just many other GM's have for other teams. If I was an owner, I'd hire him as a player personel assistant. That way I could get a feel for how good he is at finding quality players. After he did that for a season or 2, and did it well, then I'd promote him to GM.

BQ2: He would probably be better than Jordan, and I don't think he could be worse.

In a way you kindof dont want him to be like Barkley. If you dont remember there were flaws in Barkleys game. Defense for once, he was bad at it. He was too small to defend power forwards. He was too big and slow to defend SG and SF. He was a pretty effective scorer but he shoot a bunch of 3s and wasnt really good at that. Ultimately he was never a champion despite being on some pretty teams. Hopefully Glen turns more into a mini Shaq than a Barkley

No. Charles was a good player and he's a good basketball commentator and taco salesman but GM, I think not. I think his straight forwardness would eventually clash with team ownership as well as with the coach and his GM career would be short-lived at best.
