Can turtles lay eggs in stages?
I have two red-eared slider turtles. Obviously, one is female (but we don't know which one). I have heard that they can lay infertile eggs.. so, both could be female. We don't know which one is laying the eggs but it laid 2 in the middle of May, 2 more last week and 2 over the weekend. Is this typical that they don't lay all the eggs at once?

It happens with some frequency, although it is not typical.
