I am writing a Story and need to know what Powers Ninja's have.
I know they have Stealth and Illusion and are able to dodge (Kind of like Spider-man :P)
But what other powers do they have? Please help me out here. I'll give you 5 stars.

Actually, the plural of the word ninja is "ninja."
"Ninjas" has come to be an accepted alternate but traditionally, ninja (without an s) is the plural.
( ^ o ^ )
As for what powers ninja possess, it really varies depending on the legend. Most commonly, ninja are portrayed as being able to teleport, become invisible, sense things that normal people can not (i.e. seeing behing their backs and tracking very faint smells for miles), and possess superhuman agility, stamina, and strength.
Of course, these are the supernatural ninja often found in folklore and popular culture. Real ninja are/were just VERY highly trained people specializing in specific skills but moste doubt they even exist in this capacity anymore

If you're going for realism, they didn't have any 'superpowers' per se. However, they did have some special abilities.
In Feudal Japan, Ninjae were stolen from the cradle as infants and trained in mountain compounds. They learned martial arts, acrobatics, and melee fighting from an early age. They were also conditioned to be completely double-jointed, and by the time they graduated they were so flexible that if a hole was larger than their head, they could fit through it.
Most of the apparent 'powers' of ninjae came from their tools (much like Batman). They were masters of concealed weaponry. A particular favorite was the Shinobe-Zue, a hollow tube disguised as a walking stick. A ninja might cary many of them in his pack, each with a specific purpose - some simply for shortstick fighting, some containing swords, some containing spring-loaded blades (which could shoot up to five meters), some containing shuriken, etc. Ninjae also used climbing claws, like bladed brass knuckles, that they used to climb up trees extremely quickly, and even hang from ceilings.
Ninjae were also skilled with chemicals, and often a Shinobe-Zue would be used to shoot packets of powder at enemies. These included poisons, itching powders, and even meat-scented powders, which would be accompanied by the release of a pack of hungry dogs by the assistant ninja.
That's about it! Hope it helps.

Um, well this kind of depends on you, like what do you think ninjas are like?
Naruto ninjas, normal ninjas, ninja turtles etc.
Also it's best answer, and you get 10 points. Not 5 stars
Also it's not "ninja's", it's just ninjas.
You don't say "what powers do ninja is have?"

REAL ninjas have the powers any normal human being has, enhanced and refined by rigorous training.
People tend to forget ninjas were real before Western culture turned them into supernatural characters. They were spies, secret agents and infiltrators, using a myriad of techniques to bring about the downfall of their opponent.
But what struck me more than anything when I read the manual of the Togakure-Ryu, was that the most powerful asset a ninja has is a clear heart. He or she must be completely determined and certain that his or her goal is worthwhile and to be pursued at all costs. No doubt and no hesitation, because the end to be met is analyzed and judged beforehand. Everything is thought through carefully, so that when the time to act has come, there is no need for second thoughts.

Anyway, you were probably talking about flashy powers. The fact is, ninjas were taught any number of arts to be able to be effective in any situation and under any set of circumstances. They had an entire martial art dedicated to drawing the sword and striking in one single motion. Hiding, dodging, grappling (they had techniques to allow them to escape from any kind of wrestling hold, and practiced every day to keep themselves nimble), the use of special weapons, concealing such weapons, making weapons out of whatever was at hand, and so on, and so on.
Actually, I imagine a modern elite commando would be taught much the same things.

Well Ninjas(not ninja's) aren't based on power. They are just human beings who practiced martial arts and how to handle weapons. So based on this, make your ninjas with weird illusions(using smoke bombs) Remember Ninjas are human beings, they just trained to be better, don't make them really powerful, because they trained for humility and not power. Make the bad ninjas with things that a normal ninja wouldn't have.(Guns, Muscles, Flash bombs, Technology.) Good luck on your short story. Make sure the hero is quiet, but will stand up for justice!!!!

Ninja's don't have "powers" - they have abilities. Ninjas are the ultimate assassin. So whatever you skills you think the best assassin in the world should have are probably under a Ninja's belt.

A ninja or shinobi was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, as well as open combat in certain situations
Most ninjutsu techniques recorded in scrolls and manuals revolve around ways to avoid detection, and methods of escape.[6] These techniques were loosely grouped under corresponding natural elements. Some examples are:
Hitsuke - The practice of distracting guards by starting a fire away from the ninja's planned point of entry. Falls under "fire techniques" (katon-no-jutsu).[64]
Tanuki-gakure - The practice of climbing a tree and camouflaging oneself within the foliage. Falls under "wood techniques" (mokuton-no-jutsu).[64]
Ukigusa-gakure - The practice of throwing duckweed over water in order to conceal underwater movement. Falls under "water techniques" (suiton-no-jutsu).[64]
Uzura-gakure - The practice of curling into a ball and remaining motionless in order to appear like a stone. Falls under "earth techniques" (doton-no-jutsu).[64]
Superhuman or supernatural powers were often associated with the ninja. Some legends include flight, invisibility, shapeshifting, the ability to "split" into multiple bodies, the summoning of animals, and control over the five classical elements.
hope this helps, enjoy writing your paper.
