Can Green Day Rock Band work with a Guitar Hero Guitar?

Yes I'm sure it works 'cause I have used the original Guitar Hero Guitar to play Rock Band 1&2. I've also used the Rock Band Guitar to play Guitar Hero Metallica, Smash Hits, and 5.

But yes the guitar will work as long as it can be hooked up to the console.

YES! I already bought all 3 songs you can get on rock band! Unfortunately my family and friends don't like Green Day, but I make them play ANYWAY!! haha it's a shame they only had songs from 21st century breakdown, i'd love to have the older ones too.

Their first record was MAYBE punk. The rest of that has been pop song after pop song. Metallica, however, are good and will always be.

Green Day started out as decent power pop/punk in the same vein as bands like Buzzcocks and The Ramones, then became stadium alt rockers. Metallica started out leading thrash, then became stadium alt rockers.
