anyone else get really annoyed with the yahoo answers team at times?
I have reported one person many many times because they are using a bad name for black people (ni###rs), straight out insulting members and insulting anyone who is not an anglo saxon. Yet this person still is on answers and does not have their questions removed. I have also sent a copy to Answers of messages they have sent me abusing me and insulting me and nothing is done. Yet i answer a question with no swearing, no insulting members and not being nasty at all and it gets removed because it was reported (I have sent a message back appealing the decision).
Has anyone got any ideas how to get the answers people to actually do something about this other person and to get a straight answer (within a week) as to why a question has been reported. All you ever get is "because it broke guidelines". dont they realise if they told you how you broke the rules you wouldnt do it again.
any help would be great.
it looks like the offending person has been removed but just checked and all their old insulting questions are still there. If someone has their profile closed wouldnt they remove all their posts?
Still dont know what is happening about my question though
just got email this morning. Found out answer is back on and all ok.

Your question should be : who DOES NOT get annoyed with the yahoo answers team.
I regularly see very racist and obnoxious questions and answers get by whilst innocent ones get deleted/reported.
Seems like the guidelines apply only to some !! whilst many totally disrespect them and flaunt it actually.
Some people get away with absolutely anything as others seem to be in chains and have a duct tape slapped across the mouth.
As to "trusted members"...........what a joke !!!! Community regulating itself : what an oxymoron. It is like a teacher living a classroom where bullies will ultimately want to subdue others.
If I were you I would insist and insist and send again and not be too polite !! To gain their attention.

Lots of reported answers are just excuses. Somebody does not like you so you are reported and since they cannot find anything really wrong they will put "chatting" or " wrong format whatever that latest means"...I got answers reinstated so the chatting and format thing is just a bogus excuse.
If all else fell contact customer service at Sunnyvale and you will be assigned a number. Some a good and some a total waste of time.

I have had a question removed when it should not have been. It was asking about Germany and its modern nationalism compared to the U.S. I suppose that some pro-America troll found it offensive and flagged it. I filed a counterclaim, and the question was then posted back up.
Yes. The Yahoo Answers! team can be very annoying.

i think you're saying that although this insulting person is quite clearly out of order he is still on answers while at the same time other people who are abiding by the rules are subject to constand and unexplained nitpicking.
yahoo's no doubt well intentioned nanny state interference is quite annoying - for example, their 'hmm, you seem to be using quite a lot of punctuation' always raises my ire - what has it got to do with them? They are also very picky about 'abuse' of the question and answer format and then there are their so called community guidelines which penalise for some things as even naming a particular ethnic group.
It's all picky and sanctimonious and now we know thanks to your email that it is also completely unfair.
Source(s): see my reply to ' what is the best country for an Indian to do a Master's degree? This escaped the attention of the Statsi at yahoo because it was an answer and the indian geezer who asked the question five starred my answer as it gave interesting information on racial angles. Yet Yahoo would have removed the question as they have removed many of my questions, often for no obvious reason whatsoever. - thom tLv 61 decade ago
Yes! I get questions deleted because some pro-circ doesn't like my being an
anti-circumcisionist, or because some illiterate doesn't understand that I am
just making a joke(my question about a semi-colonoscopy being an
examination of punctuation!)
It doesn't do much good to apeal, because they mostly rubber stamp it(out of
laziness?). Anyway, I am still here, so I will persevere.

At least you got a 'reason'!
Y!A gives the impression that they do not care what goes on around here. I know we have all seen inflammatory and openly provocative questions ar ound here that do not seem to go.
Why do we need to get 5 or 10 complaints against a question, when anyone can see the derrogatory and insulting commnts within and one should suffice?
because Y!A doesn;t really care

I know what you mean! My questions and answers have been getting reported for no reason. I appealed once, and i got it, the second time i appealed, and they wouldnt do it! I had no foul language or anything!

so,here,s both our suggestions,my contact cannibal one told me what to do,he had 4 best answers yesterday and 2 apologies,go to feedback every time you get mad, post it on yahoo answers site as a question, chance being reported, then appeal it,report anything remotely in violation.report also those answering those ignorant questions jokingly,do as they do.get your contacts to be on the same site, all of you report at once,i,ll tell you this is gonna stop.and they must relax the old outdated guidelines they have, also if it,s a hate crime such as that racial word, cancel the account and report them to the authorities, they could be charged, thank you.i have to go.

Yes. I hate all talking ads. If I wanted to hear about something, I know how to use a mouse and can click on an ad all by myself.
