I know people way under-employed doing any kind of work to feed their families. I know retirees working because their investments are gone. I know kids who cannot land that Mickey D job because adults have them.

I would have a hard time telling a young person to borrow money for college at this time. Unless the young person just could not get any job, in that case, this is probably a great time to be off in school. Nothing happening and you might as well experience the drowning feeling of student loan debts with libs in power in a bad economy. Especially if you're a lib.

Source(s): I closed my professional practice down because I was located in a major manufacturing community which saw many long-time American companies shut their doors in late 2008 and early 2009. It was just too discouraging for me to try to shake down these poor people. I'm not a debt collector. Hahaha, I bought BP gas today, libtroll (Corp) and I thought of you. Between BP and Obama, I have more faith in BP cleaning up the mess.

Now that the Census is winding down, I am once again unemployed. My daughter just found a part-time job in April. Her boyfriend is still working temporary jobs through his union. Her ex-husband is still unemployed and has lost his home. His wife is fearful that cutbacks at the School District will end her job as a teacher. A friend at the same school district is fearful of losing her job due to cutbacks in the maintenance department. The state, county, and city are still laying workers off. It doesn't look good here...

Source(s): I live in Las Vegas.

after they are dropped from the compensation there is no record of if they are working or not. but they have off and on been interviews with the workers saying they are doing odd jobs while waiting for openings, some over a year and while the government only lists the registered unemployed, there are two income familys with only one working full time,

I don't know anyone who has been unemployed that long. Of course I work in high tech and that sector hasn't been that drastically impacted. Most of the job loss has been in the lower educated sectors, construction has really taken a hit for example.

half my friends and family never worked since i can remember and just loop hole money schemes over seas or sell a little weed on the corner to go buy sneakers and chinese food. I think only a world war or super natural disaster that would kill over 3 billion people can fix the financial crisis by restarting all economy

I don't know any unemployed people. I do know some people who think that they haven't gotten the raises that they should have. They are looking around for other opportunities. Your rejection of the AP story is unsupported.

My husband was out of work OVER 9 MONTHS after getting laid off. He got his job back at the same place he was laid off from. My ex was out of work well over a year after getting laid off (he's an electrician). He then finally found another job and then got laid off again and was out of work almost 6 months.

ORRRRRRR....the census has come to an end and those 400 thousand + employees who made the job situation so fabulous not long ago are finished. And to think I interviewed with AP once.

I only know one person out of a job, and I live in Florida. All of my friends in NY and CA are employed.
