QUINOa VS BROWN RICe?
i wanna be skinny so bad. so freaking skinny. im so fat. i hate my life.
i already eat ovovegatarian, gluten free and dairy free. im disgusting. my stomach is pudding what a loser!!! i eat so much brown rice and almonds. is that making me fatter? is there a less fattening nut?? should i just eat less? what about brown rice? does it make me fatter? should i switch to quinoa? which one will make me slimmer? quinoa or brown rice? will i be missing nutrients? please help

Quinoa beats rice hands down. Brown rice, black rice, basmati rice, any rice. The reason is:
- Quinoa has twice the protein
- Quinoa has complex carbs (they dont turn quickly into simple sugars creating fat)
- Quinoa makes you feel fuller longer = you dont have as many cravings and eat less
- when you eat quinoa you feel fuller because of the protein and because it's so full of water (it increases 3 times its size when cooked)
- Quinoa gives you all your essential aminoacids- so you don;t need to be a scientist on how to get all your nutrients. You even get calcium and iron.
- Quinoa is easy to cook. 15 minutes and you're done.
Make sure you buy a brand that has pre-washed quinoa, such as trader joe's Eden foods, Bob's red mill, earthly delights, alter Eco. They taste better and you dont need to rinse the quinoa before cooking.
- I would recommend cooking a big pot of quinoa and keeping it in the fridge. You can use it as a topping for salad. You can stir fry vegetables and have it hot.
- Quinoa will help you maintain your weight. It will not help you lose weight. There's plenty of ways to do that. But first you need to get your mindset right. Sounds like you're a bit down on yourself. You have to stop listening to what the world tells you and listen to what is true. God made you pleasing to Him and beautiful. No matter how good (or bad) you may look he will always love you with a never ending, never giving up unending love. With that in mind, go ahead and take care of your body. Go for a walk around the block. once. then tomorrow try twice. Small attainable goals. And then build up from there. Don't go off crazy with some sort of intense diet.
