My dad left gay porn in my room?
I'm 17 gay, everyone knows except for my family(not including my brothers). I live with my dad he has been acting weird like he knows. Then my adult magazine is gone a day ago, I open it tonight and not only find it in there but a DVD with it. No one accept my dad or brothers has access to my more, so I asked both of my brothers and neither of them did that means it was my dad. So he knows right? This means he is fine with it right? Should I tell him i'm gay or mention the DVD.

Your dad buys you porn?
BEST. DAD. EVER.

First off having the same thing happen to me just a few days ago except on the opposing end (I'm the dad) I have to say what happened to you is much milder than say if your father walked in on you getting laid on a desk. Anyway, are you sure he saw the porn? Plus if he doesn't want to believe you are gay, he really won't until you tell him. If he needs his space, give it to him just like if you need yours, take it. He's your dad. He will always love you. And right now if he knows you are gay, he is likely thinking about himself. (How do I look as a parent, What did I do wrong, How can I change this, What will my friends say) And he could also be thinking about how much more difficult your life is, that is what really bothered me about my son. How will he manage in a predominately heterosexual and judgmental/hateful society? Anyway, when both of you guys are calm about it, tell him. There will be yelling very likely or at least some resistance. Don't push it if things get too intense. Just let him know you haven't changed and that it doesn't have any affect on who you are and what you want, except in the bedroom and that really shouldn't have a drastic affect on your life in my opinion. And screw the comment about you being 19 and needing to move out. Americans are so emotionally detached with their families. I live with two of my sons, 21 and 28 and it's not weird. Everyone has different family situations and it's nothing to be ashamed of. As long as you are either in school or working and are taking care of responsibilities and being a man, enjoy your life and own what you have!

If you feel comfortable talking to him about it, then you most definitely should. If you are uncomfortable with it, wait until a later date. However, I do not think I would mention the porn. Wish you the best of luck, and hope all ends well.

it's possible he heard something and decided to give you the magazine and the DVD to see if it was true. if that's the case,he might think you would keep it if you were gay, or tell him if you weren't. i would suggest mentioning just one of them to him. If it was him, he'll either say yeh it was me, or he would act like he doesn't know where it came from. lol

Tell him if you are comfortable with it. If you aren't then you should keep it a secret. I am 16 and my parents would never guess that i'm Bi. But I don't really act it. Do you? I have a gay friend who lives in Westchester Ohio, He is also gay and really acts it. But if you don't act it then you should be good to go. Unless you really do want him to know if you are... Hope this helps!(:

Sounds like the ball is in your court. Go for it if you're comfortable broaching the subject with your dad.
