Hair Metal band of the day (Take 6)?
They labeled themselves as the "stoopidist band in the world", gotta love a band with a sense of humor, but they delivered six good albums through the 90s. They incorporated elements of psychedelic, punk and funk with their own breed of guitar oriented blues hair metal. Here are some favorites of mine from their first three albums.

Love/Hate
Blackout In A Red Room
- Very classic party rock sound.. the drums especially. The vocals are kinda generic GLAM, but I don't say that as an insult.. they are good, just not one of the voices that I would recognize anywhere.
Why Do You Think They Call It Dope?
- Cool intro.. fun song again. I could listen to these guys pretty easy. Nothing that wows me.. just seems like great music to throw in the car with the top down and go driving.
Wasted In America
-Interesting.. I like the intro a lot. Overall good song. I would say they do have a much better bassist than most GLAM bands. I believe GLAM to rank with Black Metal in general for quality of bass players.... which is to say..usually kinda lousy.. mostly open E pluckers.. lol... but this guy is much better.
Yucca Man
-Nice up-tempo intro.. grooving bassline.. really moving ain't he? Almost electronic sounding on this.. which is interesting as the rest of the instruments are kinda spartan on this track..... overall though I would say my least favorite track on this.. the riff in the chorus is better .. and not a bad track, just not as good as the others.
Spinning Wheel
-Less funky and GLAM period.. that intro is almost Grungy or *gasp* metal.... Mostly the bass line again, mind you.. I think that he is almost the focus of this band, lol. At least to my ears. Maybe no Tora Tora here..but be worth future listening for sure.
MQ2: Infectious Grooves all the way. Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo at their most wack.
MQ3: Cuz people who smoke it think they are pretty dope.. and the sober people around them just think they ARE dopes.
BQ: Well... technically in Mexico the term burrito does not exist..they are called Taco de harina.. so it's really closed Taco vs Open Taco...... =P that said.. a properly made Taco de Harina is about the best portable meal ever invented.. and with none of the spillage issues a normal taco presents. I still eat both gladly though.. especially fish tacos!
