Does Sims 2 work on a Windows 2000 computer?
It's not a laptop, and I have bunches of space in it, and I was just wondering if Sims 2 works on a computer with Windows 2000. If you have questions, I will add additional detail to this question. My sister is going to be sending me the game, and me and my family have moved into a new house with my grandparents and they have a big computer with a lot of space and I haven't played Sims in ages so I've been on edge waiting for the game. I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't work, so please answer!! Thank you! :]
This computer is a new model. Black, flat screen, and thin. We bought this computer only about two years ago. It is Samsung.

We need more details on the computer, specs etc, saying its windows 2000 doesnt say much, but chances are, if they bought it when windows 2000 was still new, then no....it wont.
If, on the other hand, its a newer computer which they put windows 2000 on because they are more familiar with it, then possibly, it could depend on the compatibility with windows. Its quite an old game, so you dont need a gaming computer to play it, heck, i can run sims 3 WITHOUT a graphics card(i have onboard as backup), and my computer is around 6 years old(i have upgraded RAM and mobo since tho, still around 3-4 years old)
Because this is simply an answer to a question on Yahoo answers, and not MSN or skype or in person etc, i cant talk you through how to find the specs to make sure itll run. So just try it, and hope for the best.

Almost certainly not, processor speed way too slow, and not anywhere enough RAM. Look up the system requirements for the game.

probaly not, you might need a better graphic card, most of those old computer doesn't have those. I recommand you to try to buy a new computer so you don't have to buy so many parts to upgrade your computer by yourself.
