anyone who has had thyroid problems or knows anything about thyroids please read!?

I'm an 18 yr old girl and I have posted questions for the past few months now about my health because I have felt horrible since November! I have been to 3 doctors, one because we thought maybe I had anxiety. The anxiety excersises helped some but I still felt sick all the time. I have no energy,I'll feel out of breath or feel like I'm not getting enough air sometimes,I feel cold when everyone else is hot ( I put on a jacket the other night it was 80 degrees) I'll feel dizzy, always tired, will feel like crying sometimes out of the blue or get angry quickly, and I will feel hungry like an hour after eating. And not just hungry I will literally feel as if though I haven't eating all day! So anyways yesterday I went to my doctor because I am so tired of feeling this way and she sent me to a hospital to have some blood tests and an EKG done. My older sis is a nurse and she thinks it has something to do with my thyroid. I won't hear from the doc until monday,So i was hoping anyone who has thyroid issues or knows a lot about them if they could post their experiences and if it sounds like I have it. I just want to read up on it some more and kinda know I'm not the only person who feels so different than I did last year! I used to be peppy and always wanting to go. Now I'm tired and I feel nothing like myself. Sorry this is so long....It's just sop frustrating to feel this way for 9 months and not know why! Also I have a job where I talk a lot and I've noticed my voice will sometimes die down and my throat feels sore more often...is that also symptoms of thyroid problems! Thanks to anyone who bothers to read and answer!!!

hi :) im 17 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 7 years ago. now by your symptoms it could be close to impossible to accurately diagnose you. contrary to belief (and many articles) the symptoms for each thyroid issue can be shared (meaning you could have an over active thyroid and i have an underactive one but we have the same symptoms.) the only sure fire way to test it is through blood work. now heres the tricky part. the thyroid produces its hormones through short bursts rather than a steady stream. this means it is very tricky to get an accurate read on thyroid hormones at any time. i went undiagnosed for 8 years because my test results kept coming back with a 'false-negative' because they would test my blood at the wrong times (you cant tell the right time though.)

i would ask your doctor for a referral to an endocrinologist (they are specialists with these sorts of problems). they will help alot better and diagnosing you :) good luck!

sounds like she has hypothyroidism. that could ward off her from even wanting to drop some weight. She would desire to eat suitable, yet i will understand her feeling blah. while they do get her thyroid to the remarkable point, she would be ready to expertise lots extra efficient and have extra potential. do no longer supply her a annoying time approximately eating regimen and workout. She's is known with she's obese and he or she has to wish to lose it.
