I'm writing a novel what do you think?

So I don't know if I want to turn this into a book or not it's more of a journal, one day I just started a word document and started typing :P Please tell me what youu think :) oh and also is the phrase 'it's not the path we choose to go down, it's how we choose to go down that path' famous? cos I really wanna use it but i think i might have stolen it from somewhere :s anyway here's the story :

Have you ever tried to ask yourself what your purpose in life is? Have you ever found an answer? Is it right to be put on this Earth without knowing our purpose, or are we here to find it? When we finally find some meaning to our life, is that when we die? Our bodies stop working the moment we find a meaning for our hearts to pump. Every day is the first day of the rest of our lives, but do we live that day to its full potential?

My name is Katie Colwill and I have lived in this world for fourteen years questioning every moment. I don’t know why I can’t let the world lie and let life take its course, after all the Jimmy Eat World song ‘Kill’ was seemingly accurate, ‘could it be that everything goes round by chance? Or only one way that it was always meant to be?’ This had become my philosophy for life, but if everything was left down to fate, did it really matter what I did in life? I could splash around as much as I wanted but the reality was the ripples would eventually reach the banks and no one would remember me. I would have lived here for seventy or so years leaving no imprint on this planet.

I’m always left to think, live in the moment for the past is dead and gone and the future is yet to come. My problem was I could always give advice but I could never take it. Now, you may believe my life is depressing from the thoughts I have just preached to you, but the truth is I am actually content with my life. Is that enough? To be content?
