Can an adult purchase a rated M video game for a minor?
I'm fourteen, and I want to get Red Dead Redemption. I asked my mother about it, and she said she'd be fine with me having it. The problem is that I'm obviously underage. The question here is , if my mother comes to purchase the game with me, will they allow me to buy it? Or will I have to send her in for me as a sort of ambassador?

Your mother can purchase it.
The age restriction isn't a law. It's a voluntary restriction by game manufacturers and retailers.

No you're fine. It's like an R rated movie. The thing is parental consent. As long as you're not alone w/o an adult they're not even ALLOWED to deny you it.

Having an age restrict makes this interest "cool" and shall we face all of it of us understand what its like interior the college playground!! i think of that there is in all probability interest interior the sport interior the 1st place however the fac there is an age restrict on the sport makes it extra effective for babies xxx

Your mother simply needs to stand next to you. You give it to the person, they ask your parent if it's ok, then you pay and leave. It's that simple.
