Why are some gay people religious?

life ain't perfect and is always changing. what i believe in isn't dependent on the beliefs of others....i am presbyterian because i share the majority oft my beliefs with others of the presbyterian faith. i love God, i love Jesus and i love my christian brothers and sisters...not because they are perfect, but because God loves them and me too.

All religions are against a LOT of things. The bible also says that it is a sin to trim off the edges of your beard, but people don't go around saying that anyone that shaves shouldn't be religious. You can believe in something & still not take every word of the bible seriously. It's all open for interpretation. The problem with a lot of religions is that they take their own subjective interpretations to far & take the bible to literally & out of context. No one religion has everything figured out.

What approximately homosexuality and faith: what do you think of? particular Biblical rates help slavery and persecution of people. examining too lots into particular words is dropping sight of the wooded area for the trees. Do you think in God? confident. if so how do you reconcile that with your faith? The Bible became written by adult men. have you ever rejected faith through fact of its stance on homosexuality? Matthew 6:5-6. i don't choose approval of others. Are you proud and gay and spiritual? i'm happy with myself for fairly some motives. Are you proud and gay And have faith in God? confident. have you ever rejected God? No. Are you atheist? Agnostic. i'm extra in all probability to be defined as agnostic, yet do have a theory in some thing extra suitable than myself. How has your sexuality affected your theory in faith or God or your spirituality? It hasn't. My ideals at the instant are not inspired by different peoples interpretations of religion.

Some gay people believe that God made them this way, so they should believe in him. Nothing wrong with it. If it makes them feel like a better person, more power to them. My opinion, I don't agree with organized religion. I do not feel welcome in it. So, I just have a personal connection with God. But, that's just me. I respect all beliefs.

it is none of your business if their religion dismisses them, it's between them and their god...

so.. just because the religion dismisses them, that doesn't mean they have to stop having faith, and stop believing

I'm wondering the same thing too. I wonder why anyone would believe in religion in the first place. Religion is total bollocks. People need to wake up and live in the 21st century.

Coz God loves you for you are his children. Gay ppl are still his children (not aliens). He loves you for your heart not your sexual stuff. I dont mind gay ppl, they are also ppl!!!
