Am I likely to get all/some of my tax back?
I'm 18 years old working at McDonald's (Australia) I've earned $12,000 and paid just under $600 in tax.

Hi,
You will get all of the $600 refunded back to you, assuming you have claimed the $6000 tax free threshhold which I would be highly surprised if you haven't.
With the low income tax offset of $1,350, any tax you would normally have to pay on income from $6000 - $12000 (6000 x 0.15 = $900) is eliminated.
In summary you will receive a full refund for the $600 approximately in tax you have paid.
Do you need an Accountant? Since your return is quite simple it would be quite inexpensive for you.
