I just want to know in nowadays how business works relate to IT technologies? how important are IT professionals in the common business.

Usage or application of Information Technology (IT) in a business depends upon the nature and size of business.
If you chose to have a business related to software development, web designing, hosting etc. then you need to have certain amount of IT associated with your business.
If you would like to go for marketing business, you need to have simple computers with Microsoft Office, Windows etc. to manage your clients data, billing software for billing etc .
If you have an office of at least 4 persons, couple of computers are enough to manage the business. No need of any special software.
If you go for Business Process Outsoursing (BPO) then you need to have software to convert PDF files to MS Office Fortmat, OCR, Scanning facilities, data conversion, etc. Then you need to have people well trained in such jobs.
If you start a software development business, then you need to have deputed with Software Engineers, Programmers etc.
If you are one-man show type business, you need only one computer with appropriate software for whatever you do.
