Would you answer if you knew you won't get Best Answer?

If you see an answer that needs just a little tweak, or someone suggested something wrong and maybe dangerous. will you take the time to answer just to help, even if there's a more complete answer you know will be picked?

No!...... I read the answers and if they are all.... "True and Knowledgeable Answers" then there is...... NO Reason for me to answer! ! !

No!.... I'm not into Point Gaming! I'm here to be of help to others!

Your question IS very Confusing. WHY would anyone spend the time to answer a question that has already been answered?

I am a spiritual person who spends A LOT of time answering a question NOT to get BA but to be loving and caring. and helpful.

There are already 6 answers here.....I wouldn't have taken the time to answer you question unless I felt I could Make a Difference.

I do hope I did help you with my answer .

If you run across answers that are selfish and point gaming you should "Report" them.

Where Here To Help Others....That is the answer.

    With a smile...of gratitude....

    nini--

Not a hard and fast rule, but I'm tending not to. If I see that a question has been pretty well answered even if I it could be tweaked a little I probably won't do it; if I saw something really wrong on something that could affect someone in real life of course I would make the correction.

Now that I am over level two getting points from just answering a question is not a reinforcer for me; while getting a Best Answer is; more so if it is chosen by the asker and makes a difference in their lives.

Even though it is really meaningless, I find that I like seeing my BA % go up, and don't like it when the % goes down.

I've been thinking about suggesting that the "comment" feature be enabled on live questions so that those who are not trying to give an actual or complete answer can add a little tweak without concern that the input may not be a Best Answer.

BTW, I am posting this with the hope that you will recognize this response the "Best Answer" --which it is, isn't it?

I would, cause like me, I think people want many opinions or reassurance on a particular answer. Even if someone has the best answer, I like to see more people with the same answer cause it reassures me that it isn't a fluke.

On a separate note, can you check out my 2 questions and leave a response? Thanks.

I'd answer the question to be helpful. I try to give the best answer I can. If I'm picked for Best Answer, I'm happy. If not, I move on.

I try to answer questions to be helpful, not to score points. Because, really, the points don't mean anything, do they? If i think i can contribute to or help with a question, then i will answer.

yes,am not on here to win points or levels-just genuinely like helping others, though its usually in restrictive/limited topics that have got personal experience in.

most of them are the type of topics where a lot of users are spreading wrong or out of date information so am likely to add to what they have written to make sure the user knows its wrong as well as the user who wrote it so they can update it themselves,as woud prefer the same done for self.
