Can I steam marinated shrimp?
I've got shrimp marinating for dinner. I LOVE steamed shrimp but am worried that they'll lose the flavor if I steam them. Has anybody done this before? Should I just go ahead and grill them? Thanks!
PS- my steamer is the electric kind with holes in the bottom so liquid will run out into the water basin below...

Yes you could steam them and if they have been marinaded you will loose very little flavour.

My son does that but he makes extra marinate for dipping the shrimp in, since it will lose some of the flavor as it drips off..don't use the one its marinating in again.
