If Scott Langley has to follow NCAA rules, who gets his prize money from the US Open?

    he wasn't eligible for prize money

    its actually not only the ncaa rules that keep him from collecting the check. the rules of amateur status as written by the usga state that an amateur cannot take money, and cannot take a prize worth more than 700 dollars. if they do they are deemed to have relinquished their amateur status and are no longer eligible to play in amateur events. and the money he would have earned at pebble gets redistributed to the rest of the field who made the cut.
