If you have a V-Tec Car, just get your self a V-Tech Controller, go for Apexi or Grredy only. Get the xast from the front of the car to the end 3 or 3.5inch. try not to go in for the turbo as you will have to get the pistons changes for better performance or otherwise the car will Lag big time. change the Air Filter for better air intake, there is lot you can do for speed, let me know if you need any further help.

    Its VTEC....

well it depends on what you want out of it, if you want speed and handling, then a civic all day long,

if you get a VTi/Si, with the DOHC VTEC engine (B16A2) then it will be faster than an accord (unless you get the accord Type-R)

On a VTEC engine go for breathing mods, so a air filter, AEM V2 long rams are good, then inlet manifold, 70mm throttle body, headers, cat-back exhaust system (i have a APEXi N1 spec on mine)

maybe stage 2 cams, stiffer valve springs and so on, i'd stick to Skunk2 for engine mods, turbo is a bit more complicated, look into it properly if you are going to do it -- and get it done to a high standard

but as i say, in terms of performance, you will get more from a civic...(theres a big difference between VTEC sohc and VTEC dohc models though..)

Here's some pros and Cons for each...

    Accord

-The 90-02 models are very easy to swap an H22 into (200 hp Prelude engine)

-The factory F-series engines lend themselves well to turbo (and no, you don't necessarily need to upgrade the pistons like the other guy said; he doesn't know what he's talking about; do research on this)

-Even the factory Accord engines have more torque then any Civic engine

-Bigger and a little more luxurious then a Civic (but also heavier)

    Civic

    -Small and light

-Double wishbone suspension good for tuning (88-00 models)

-Lots of engine options (build and boost the stock one, swap a B-series, H-series, K-series, J-series, etc.)

    -Lots of after-market support available

-More likely to be stolen (thieves love modified Civics)

    Hope that helps...

IM WITH BEN ON THIS ONE.

I have 92 Accord sedan 5spd stock. I've read about turbo'ing the F-series stock engine. Its able to give you around 200-250hp on a good tune. The good thing about going turbo on a stock engine its the cheapness money wise. See, if you blow your engine you can get another one for 200-400$. Accord has been the underdog.

About swapping the H-series into accord its gonna cost you around 2000-2500$ with everything. Its gonna have around 190hp. And due to higher compression if you go turbo its gonna be hard to tune. Plus has a higher risk of getting blown, then you gonna have to buy another one which the engine itself its around 2000$ plus tax, shipping and handling. You can also swap a k\K-series engine but its gonna cost you around 5000-6000$.

Civics are very swappable. Very typical. But a stock D-series is good for turbo.

you can swap a H, F, K, B-series engine but its not cheap. B-series are around for 1500$.

Over all i like accords because it gives you interior space, nice handling, family friendly, and can be a sleeper.

Civic, like ben said they tend to get stolen very often. And i kinda dont trust civics just for they size for safety.

lets say you get the accord--You go to a meet and like 30 civics show up, and one or two wanna race you. you have fully rebuilt F-engine with turbo. Civic owner looks at you and says, "you drive a piece of dirt accord" you just relax cuz you know what you have. 1, 2, 3 you guys are off. civic guy sees your rear bumper pulling away and eating his words. You get back and he says "dam dude you really fast" you reply "of course man, i drive an accord a simple 4 litre F22" they will never look at you and laugh anymore.

Let say you get a civic--You go to a meet and like 30 civics arrive. You wont stand out and you will see mostly everyone having the same B-series engine with typical bolt-ons a few turbos here and there. Everywhere you look. civics civics civics and more civics. you really wanna follow everyone else?

ME AND MY STORIES I ALWAYS CRACK ME UP!

i recommend 90-01 accords. coupes and sedans are about the same weight no big difference 3000lbs. F-series stock engine., turbo or swap and H-Series.

civics from 1988-1998 hatch, sedan or coupe. are found with the typical swap B-series.

GOOD LUCK ON WHATEVER YOU DECIDE.

    Neither.

But if you must then please use a very quite muffler so the ladies won't laugh.

They sound like GIANT FART CANNONS when you put loud mufflers on them.
