why havnt my chicken eggs hatched yet today is the 21st please help :-(?
i have 11 chicken eggs and today is the 21st day exactly and a few days ago i had a power failure for about 9 hours but i think the eggs have moved since then does anyone no why they arent hatching sensible answers only please :-( thanks
HI THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP BUT I HAVE GOT UP THIS MORNING AND 1 OF THEM HAS PIPPED I WIL UPDATE THIS WHENT IT HATCHES THANKS ;-)

first off do you have them in an incubator? and why are you not sure if the eggs have moved since then? And third its not an exact time table. Its a rough estimate to give you a better guess. And yes it may be the temperature or the humidity or they might not be fertile. Give them another week or you can candle the eggs to see if they are fertile.

The incubation process & hatching stays pretty regular with a given frame work, at the same time it is not always clock work accurate,remember you have the whole of the 21st day & it may well take a liitle over,even an extra day is possible. Patience will payoff,if you are sure they are alive,they cannot help but break through their shells.Any time now !
