does boost-mobile let you transfer a number from another phone company?

I currently have Verizon and want to transfer to boost-mobile but i can't find nowhere on the site where it tells me if i can transfer my number or not.

    Yes! Boost Mobile will accept your current phone number and will request Verizon to transfer the number to your new line at Boost Mobile. Talk to a Boost Mobile executive or a nearby Best Buys mobile authorized dealer and they will help you transfer your number to Boost Mobile.

    I think you can still use the cell number as you will be with a new provider, but your other company will bill you, usually with a large early cancellation fee (if you canceled before your contract was up) and they will also include in that bill the current month's balance, plus any late charges. The longer you wait, the more $ you will owe them. Cell phone companies like taking all of your $, so I'm sure they don't care if you are using your # with a different company, but they will just continue to increase your fees if you do not end up paying them.
