Feedback on Honda Civic Si (2006-2009)?
Looking for some feedback on the Honda Civic Si, I am trying to decided between it and the Toyota Camry Hybrid...
Would you recommend the Civic Si?
How reliable had it been?
Fun to drive?
What do you like and dislike about it?
What type of driving do you do and what mileage do you get?
Thanks for your feedback, feel free to add any additional information in your response.

The Honda civic SI is a reliable vehicle.
It's a fun sporty car to drive.
I dislike the fact that when it does need to get work on , it's hard to work on , the newer cars are getting smaller and smaller when you look under the hood.
Mileage is good , depending on how you drive , you could probably get 40 if your not really putting your foot into her. But usually its 21 to 29mpg. so Manual transmission (City/Hwy) 10.2/6.8 , you would have to convert the numbers.
Personally , I would go with the Honda civic Si , because the Toyota Camry hybrid is really double the trouble , there is only 2% electric in every hybrid vehicle , this includes the Camry. They are really hard to work on , more hassle than the Si , which means more hours spent in the shop , more cranky mechanics and a higher bill , that could be potentially hard on the pocket. Any model of the Toyota Camry that is 2007 and up is an unreliable vehicle , especially if it;s made in america , if you really wanted a Toyota Camry you could get an 07 Toyota Camry SE , 4liter ( not the v6 , its extremely unreliable) and make sure it is made in Japan!Nothing from america , or it will have lots of recalls. But keep this in mind , This is the last year for the Toyota Camry body style , they will be changing it in 2011. Honestly just go with the SI , its a great car , allot better than the Toyota Camry hybrid any day. And when you by the car , ( Which ever on you choose) Look under the car , not just under the hood and in the car , chances are , the underneath will be all rusted out , if it's been sitting in someones yard before they sold it. Make sure you get your car undercoated every year , and not at Honda or Toyota , the undercoating the use is all watered down. Go to your local mechanic and get the good kind. Good luck with your purchase! Hope I helped a little:)

Honda is a very reliable manufacturer. I have owned 3 civics (currently have 09 si). I love my si! They are very easy to work on and I haven't had any major issues with mine. I have never owned a hybrid vehicle. I did have an older camry and got rid of it quickly because it didn't compare to the civic I had before it. I have somewhat of a lead for so my mpg is probably a lot less than it should be but I get approximately 250 miles/tank. The si is a lot of fun to drive, when I had my camry I felt like I was driving a grandma car.

I actual does not prepare on a sparkling automobile. i might have somebody coach me on their automobile first. you do not decide for to destroy the snatch/tranny. Grinding gears, yuk. The Si is a robust determination in spite of the undeniable fact that, i think of the Acura RSX in spite of the fact it quite is a few distance greater suitable finding, and the fee and overall performance is fairly reliable. I recommend you are able to decide for an automated RSX and hire it, and that i think of in a 300 and sixty 5 days or 2 years or something they grant you a greater recent automobile, so which you would be able to get a handbook transmission the 2d time. i think of Toyota and Mitsubishi does that too. The cool ingredient approximately Si's in spite of the fact it quite is they have LSD and that they have iVtec, yet they look only like the backside-modeled Civic's and that they are not that super finding. i think of that's a reasonably super substitute from a Maxima in spite of the undeniable fact that. i might think of of a '07 Toyota Camry, or perhaps an Acura TL.

Si is a good car but there has been a major issue (not sure of a recall). the windows were designed for looks only and have many people complaining of them 'popping out'. i know of 7 people with this car and 5 of them have had there window pop out while putting them up.
