Computer virus help!!?
I recently received a virus that makes it very annoying to operate my computer. Any time I want to click on a program to open it, a window pops up and at the top says "Open with". And i have to click browse and go to the directory of whatever im trying to open. I also found that when i click start and go to " Set program access and defaults" it says "Control.exe not found". When I right click the desktop and hit properties it says" C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe application not found". Plz help me!!

Use these instructions to remove a virus
1.Shut down your computer.
2. Turn it back on
3. When your computer manufacturing logo(like dell,HP,Toshiba,Sony etc.) goes away, repeatedly click f8 to get some options.
4. Click "safe mode with networking"
5.wait till your computer starts.
6.When it finished starting, go to your internet.
7. Go to http://www.google.com/
8. Search malwarebytes.
9. Go to their website, download the program
10. when it finished downloading, install the program.
11. When it finished installing, run the program.
12. Update the program
13. Click Full Scan
14. Wait till it finished. It will take a while but it will remove it.
15 when finished, it gives you instructions on how to remove the threats.
16. When the threats are removed it will say it will need to restart. Do so.
YOUR COMPUTER IS BACK!

your best bet would be download c cleaner to remove the virus or have the computer re installed then i suggest getting avast antivirus on it quick you can download a version of it free on internet and it will stop any futher virus attacks to your computer also get a version of advanced system care 3 downloaded thes are good insterlations and will help you stay virus free t5he avast is free for a year but you must register on it as soon as you download it also download windows defender aswell from microsoft that will give you more added protection against viruses i have suffered viruses before i know what i talking about get rid of them quick

That happened to my dad's computer once. All you can do is recover the computer to factory conditions. If you don't know how to do it, take your computer to a place where they fix computers. Thats what my dad did and it seemed to work out pretty good. You can even tell them to save all the important stuff on the computer.

It dpesn't appear to be a virus, just a Windows bug which Microsoft haven't documented well.

doesnt seem like a virus .. more like some missing .dll
try checking in the internet for the missing .dll
this must do the job
