Well first of all what I do is use windows movie maker but windows movie maker dose not work with all file types so it would be best to convert them first if you file types do not work with windows movie maker.

like what I do some times is download cartoons from youtube but a 30 minute video is in 3 parts most of the time and after downloading the video files are in flv format so I use a free file converter to convert them into wmv then I place all 3 parts in windows movie maker and them splice all 3 parts together.

but when I'm done putting the 3 video parts together it saves them as wmv so them I convert them with the same program that converted them from flv to wmv.

I take them out of wmv and put them in a format I can use on my psp and other things.
