Can someone please tell me what kind of man degrades women?

An ignorant, selfish & shallow man will degrade women.

Like racism, sexism is based on a selfish desire to be better than others and ignorance. Both man and women can cut each other down instead of treating each other with respect. This is especially true when it's a group of all men or a group of all women. The making fun of the "other side" is a way some try and polarize and is a poor way to bind the group together.

Our popular culture, music, TV, advertisement, etc seems to add fuel to the fire. Much of it is done in fun, but this still adds to the ideas people have and act on. Listen to lyrics of some of the popular songs, it's nothing but degrading women. Also some the celebrities we follow don't do much to model respect for others or for themselves.

I agree with Rutgers Student. The amount of women that put down men on a daily basis sort of balances it out. From what I've seen, it's perfectly normal for a woman to say things like, "I'd expect that from a man", "all men are pigs" or "all men are only after one thing" and not be deemed a sexist.

Quite a few adverts we have here in the UK make openly sexist jokes towards men, but I guarantee if it were vice versa, people would be up in arms. For example, we had a product called 'Oven Pride'. The slogan was actually, "So easy a man could do it" and you know what? It escaped being banned by the ASA despite receiving over 700 complaints in regards to the sexist implications.

So please, don't act like women have it hard or any of that bullshyt. As a woman myself, I am sick of the unsightly double standard that exists in society, and that is quite simple: women can say what they want about men and not be sexist, but just as soon as man does the same, oversensitive, whiny b*tches have to come out and moan because their 'feelings got hurt'.

A coward. certainly one of those guy or woman who does not have a life, is lonely and greater suitable than possibly has low self-worth. They experience and be attentive to that their terrible so all they are able to think of of doing is attempt to degrade people to make themselves experience greater suitable. It does not artwork, yet i'm unsure if those style of persons be attentive to that. it quite is their thought of medical care.

They are most likely bitter virgins, or men who had their hearts broken too many times by fake women. I mean, if you guys keep going after b*tches, guess what? It'll always end badly for you... Why don't you try going after good-hearted women who are willing to do anything and everything for her husband and children?

This is the internet and they are not 4real. They wouldn't say this in real life, don't pay them any attention.

well I you should feel even worse for the women that take that kind of abuse from men and see it as "normal"

@ A Money: thanks. y'know, I took a class on women studies and feminist voices, studies show that women in abusive relationships are more likely to stay in them than to be alone.
