why do all the so called "curses" or "chants" or "spells" always have to rhyme?

like this:

Arch angel dark angel, lend me thy light. through death's veil till we have heaven in sight.

as if that gives it more power! LOL

what the hell is that all about?

    Pick one:

    1. It's a memory tool

    2. The wiccan gods like a beat you can dance to

    3. The spell-writing is a side job for the people who work at Hallmark.

Dude, I have yet to successfully cast any spell without rhyming. I mean, the other day, I willed a car to burst into flames, and it just wouldn't until I worked in something about dames.

Generally only ones written in English do. If you're translating from Latin to English they rarely rhyme.
