Late, but not too late. First you need a computer. Good is friend or a good book.

It is never too late , but keep one thing in mind that if you are highly interested in programming you would learn it very easily and quickly. But if are not willing to do it, you are just doing it cuz it may lead you to high salary job then never learn it. As some talents are embedded in human being by human nature , you can develop them in yourself forcefully e.g every one can't be a good poet , it is a God gifted quality; programming is just like poetry, every one can't be good programmer as it is sort of creativity. If you have natural talent and interest for programming , learn it even when at 50.
Here you can find handy resources about various programming languages , I would recommend you to take a start from C language; mother of all modern languages.

It's never too late to start a career. I didn't go to college until I was 34, and my brother, 46 is starting RN school in the fall. You are very young. Go for the gold.
