Is it legal to fish with live rats?
I live in kentucky and i know that there are certain things that you cannot fish with like puppys and maybe cats but are rodents considered animal cruelty?
I do not want to fish unless i know that i am not breaking any laws but i have a theroy that rats from a pet store would be good for paylakes.
and yes i understand that when i hook the rat and cast him in he will not live long but he will have warm blood and that is what i am looking for.
can anyone tell me if this would be legal or not and if they might have any ideas on good catfishin paylake baits

Ask these guys yourself: http://www.kdfwr.state.ky.us/navigation.aspx?cid=1...
because if you're asking...again...whether we condone the use of a live animal to catch a simple fish then you need to step up and go to the source. It's between you, the rat and the catfish to sort out it out with Kentucky fish management. It's alot to put out there for an angler to decide. ~good luck catchin'

Hey, even future serial killers like to fish now and then.
umm, 'maybe' cats? At least you know puppies won't land you a fish.

Yes that sounds legal I don't live in Kentucky but I know that its not illegal to kill mice so... sounds like good fun!
