Do you put toothpaste on your toothbrush before water or water before the toothpaste?
I ALWAYS put the toothpaste on first because it grosses me out to think of all the contamination of the toothpaste lol! Thanks for your time.

The water is not crucial actually, your saliva is already there to sort of dilute the toothpaste a little bit. Nevertheless if one insist on washing the toothbrush, then, wash the toothbrush first, then put on toothpaste and start cleaning your teeth. Truth to be told, neither makes much difference, except when you're having ulcers/chapped lips in your mouth - in which case, to pour water on the toothpaste is not advisable as it may worsen the wounds.

I put water on before to rinse the brush from all the contaminants of the bathroom. Toothpaste is in a container that's sealed. Your brush is in open air and therefore picks up particles of poop, urine, other particles and bacteria in your bathroom.
