Computer and Wireless Networking compatibility question?

I'm looking into the Gateway SX2840-01 desktop...seems to have nearly everything I'm looking for except one thing; "No Wireless Networking."

What exactly does that mean? I cannot use my wireless router with it? Or that I can (Because I use it for an access point for my wii and DS.) And that the desktop couldn't be part of a WN made up of other desktops/laptops/ect?

It says that there is space to upgrade in it...what could I put in there to make it Wireless Network compatible, or is that a manufacturer thing?

Update:

To clarify; This Cat5 cable that is currently connect to my router and computer is not an Ethernet one? (Came with the router)

It means it cannot wirelessly connect to your router with the included hardware. You need to connect the computer to your router with Ethernet cable, or get a wireless adapter for it. In either case it will be part of your home network, and you should be able to transfer files and such amongst devices.

If it has a space, it would be for the manufacturer's wireless option. It might be cheaper to get an off-the-shelf adapter, but will have the adapter sticking out or an extra cord, and USB or PCI slot taken up.

it doesnt have a wireless network as most desktops dont. you can buy a wireless network card if you want so you can connect it to your wireless router.
