What's up with YA sending out repeat emails on contact questions?

I've gotten my second new email this AM with notification on questions that my contacts asked - weeks ago! Resolved questions, but the emails say "___________ asked a question. Do you know the answer?"

Anyone else getting these 'old news' emails? Any answers about why?

Update:

Pamela:

I posted it to the "horses" section because that's where I hang out and where my contacts and friends are. Why are you reading horse section questions when you have a dog in your pic?

It's a rhetorical question because of your question for me. I don't care what your pic is or if you spend all your time in the horse section. Have a nice day.

'Iknowthis': I don't want to stop all notifications, I just wonder why they started sending out old news.

I had the same thing in my inbox this morning with 14 of the same questions.

Y!A was doing an upgrade a few days (maybe a week ago) and I wonder if things are still buggy.

I also have noticed the amount of questions that you will notice when reading the listing page, and then you read a question, go out to the main board and like 5 of the recently posted questions have disappeared and will show up again later...

I hear you. Our internet was down for almost two months and we just recently got it back up. As it's been so long, I hurry to check my emails and there they are, those - ______ asked a question. Do you know the answer? Six of them. Why, is a very good question. That has been going on ever since I signed up with yahoo answers.

Yours is the only one I have ever replied to. I can't wait to check back and find out if you get an answer to this. I have wondered about it for a long time.

@ Pamela - You have inspired me to put up a picture of some random thing for fear I cannot browse other topics without the coinciding photo. Hmmm...maybe I'll change my picture to a photo of the Earth, or should it be the Galaxy. Hope that gets me judgement-free access : )

    No I am sorry, I haven't

But just what does this have to do with the pet section. You need to re post it else where.

Wow I didn't know that if you posted a certain type of picture you could not go to another section. How stupid of me. Does that mean that the person with a cat picture can't post here either.

Bull Shoot, as a member of you you can post any where you want to there is no rules to say if you have a certain pic you must stay in that section. It just so happens that is one of my show dogs and I like the picture.

I don't know if you can stop it, and I actually don't even know the answer. Maybe you should contact Yahoo?

Or what you could do is link your account to a separate email that you use occasionally, that way the repeat contact emails won't bug you as much. ;)
