Why would they cancel an Eastern Caribbean cruise out of NYC because of the oil spill?? It's nowhere either NYC or the Eastern Caribbean!
You're much more likely to have problems with hurricanes or tropical storms than you will the oil spill. No need to panic. Just go and have fun.

i like eastern Caribbean yet desire those that don't end interior the Bahamas. The final one i grow to be on went frome Miami to San Juan, St Thomas and St Maarten. the terrific factor approximately those that there have been no tenders. The deliver pulls good as much as the dock so which you will get on and stale without haaving to look ahead to a boat to take you into port. My fashionable (which I even have not finished yet) is booked for April 2011 is the Carnival Victory leaving from San Juan,Puerto Rico, combating at St Thomas, Barbados, St Kitts, St Lucia, and St Maarten (additionally no tenders) some soft stops are Cozumel Mexico and Georgetown Grand Cayman (the two Western Caribbean)

Dont trust the answers above. The cruise diretcor will have to reschedule everything including sites that has been affected by the oil spill. Your cruise ship will find another location where the spill has not affected yet. They might only cancell the beach since if oil touches the beach, they need to clean it up. in summary, the location your going might be re scheduled

It's been 2 months since the oil spill started and all cruise ships have left and done their itineraries just fine. Since the only thing that'll happen is more oil leaking out, I don't see why any cruises would become affected months into the future

You are more likely to have the cruise canceled, or more likely rerouted, because of bad weather, not the oil spill.

No All of the oil from the spill is in the Gulf of Mexico. You will have clear waters all of the way.
