Is love blind or an eye opener?

I too think it's both.Sometimes,when your parents point your mistakes out,you get frustrated and somehow it annoys us to some extent.But when the same thing is done by someone you love,you tag it as being Caring.So,this is how love makes us blind.

Secondly,You are ready to accept the person despite the flaws they posses[just like you said].Here it is open mindedness and view certain things with a whole different perception..Actually,the fact is that Love makes everything around you beautiful no matter how ugly it maybe.Even if there is no beauty,you somehow find it.It never allows you to put on a huge front,you smile naturally..So yeah I can say that it's an eye opener as well since it compels you to see the beauty which you might have taken for granted.

Love can be blind when you live with someone you love to the point of almost idolizing them. But sooner or later, that person you've put on a pedestal is bound to topple off as time wears on. But the things you may suddenly notice that could offend, normally can be overlooked as not significant to bring to the others' attention. But this isn't always the case with the other spouse. Sometimes their irritations mount, until one day they blurt it out or say something in anger, to startle and upset the other spouse. And if that happens, it's time for a meeting of the minds to discuss these annoy- ances before they become a mountain of irritability. Marriage often has to be worked at, when there are lows as well as highs. It's those with an ample amount of communication that perservere and last for a lifetime. If you keep the lines of communication open, you are bound to work out even the smallest of problems, before they become insurmountable.

I will speak from my own experience.

In the beginning it was totally blind. I couldn't see the forest through the trees but as time passed little bits of sun peaked through and I saw things in a different light.

So then it became an eye opener as I saw his true colors

The people are right. It is blind at first and an eye opener later.

It was really an eye opener for me because I was chasing the wrong sort of love when I should have been looking closer to home instead.

Love is said to be blind because in love we always see positive side of a person and even if he has some negative qualities we see them as positive only and always try to justify his wrong deeds.

I think it is both. We become blind and avoid to see the weakness of the person.

It should be eye opener and make us so strong that we are able to see all the

shortcomings of the particular and accept him/her with those weakness.

Ofcourse its blind, because when you love you only want to see the good sides of your lover , just do the math ...how many broken hearts out there from break ups and divorces compared to strong long lasting relationships ...definitely its hard to calculate the result cos there are uncountable broken hearts out there whom are hurt by their lovers, they thought they were out of this world but they turned out to be mean, ego maniac, heart breakers.

If love is true and has responsibility, it is an eye opener and a start of new stage of life.

Love is SO blind

For example: My whole family told my cousin not to marry this one dude and she did, they got a divorce fast

Example 2: My sister is dating a total jerk, ever since she started dating him her grades went down, she has been mean and it is because he influences her to act like that.
