Ok, need help with this song. I know some of the lyrics but not all.?

Ok, I remember it is sang by a guy and the on part I remember is, "I just want you to know...."(the way it sounds, it sounds like it might be a part of the chorus) and also him saying something about, "that we can't go back" Well, at least that is what I think. haha!! Please help meeee!! It's making me go insane!! I have typed stuff in on google but its not helping.

Ohh, and its not the backstreet boys! Its a recent song. It's not poppy like the backstreet boys.
Its a slower song he goes into like, "and I just want you to know..." haha! I want to say I heard in on one of the Transformers movies but I already searched the soundtracks. HELP.

well that does remind me of that song by kelly clarkson its called "already gone" the chorus goes: i want you to know, that it doesnt matter, where we take this road someone's gotta go, and i want you to know, it could'nt have loved me better, but i want you to move on , so im already gone
