Question for UK model train fans?

Does anyone know if there is a detailing kit to adapt the Bachmann UK 00 scale GC ROD 2-8-0 to the GWR version (brass safety valve bonnet, brass cabside number plates, etc.)?

Update:

Here is a link to picture: http://www.bachmann.co.uk/image_box.php?image=imag...

The locos were introduced by the Great Central Railway approx 100 years ago and many saw service with the Railway Operating Division (ROD) of the British Army during World War 1. After the war they returned to normal service and a number were acquired by the Great Western Railway. As is usual when acquiring 'foreign' engines, Swindon Works put their own stamp on them, including distinctive 'bonnet' safety valve cover and brass cabside number plates. I collect 00 scale GWR models, hence the request.

Only locos 3000 to 3049 were modified. Numbers 3050 to 3099 were unchanged until withdrawn from service.

The obvious changes which are applicable to 4mm scale are the addition of a top feed valve cover and feed pipes, a brass safety valve bonnet and Swindon pattern cab side number plates.

The locomotives retained their distinctive Robinson chimneys and their steam domes.

There are a number of suppliers iof etched brass number plates and the safety valve bonnet is a very simple hand turning exercise aided by the fact that it goes on to a flat topped firebox. The top feed valve cover is not so easy, but it might be worth looking at kits for LMSR locos which had independent top feed valves or feed valves incorporated in the steam domes at different periods as there may be kit options and the kit suppliers might sell you the part as a spare..

You can of course model one of the 3050 to 3099 batch and be exactly right.

As can be seen, some of the text which accompanies the photographs linked below is incorrect in regard to the modified locomotives.

Hope this is a help. Good luck.

i'm not sure what you're superb at. SM seems for extremely ONE extremely stable difficulty YG is extra balanced and JYP.. dont do JYP, in case you're making it, you in all possibility arent gonna be too time-honored SM is DEFINETELY going to be the toughest. its the main time-honored. i think of you need to circulate SM only so as that in case you get in, you may meet SNSD (the dream of my existence XD) yet its going to be stressful
